Sustainability
The purpose of the Sustainability Action Team is to ensure the sustainability of CAP by seeking out grant opportunities, identify new funding sources including new CAP programs, and build relationships with individuals, businesses and organizations in the public and private sectors.
Quality & Professional Development
The purpose of the Quality & Professional Development (PD) Action Team is to to build a Statewide Quality System that ensures quality, access, capacity, and accountability in Afterschool Programs that serve K-12 grades. The Quality and PD Action Team is tasked with
creating a statewide coordinated professional development system aligned with the Quality Guidelines and learning community, as well as supporting professional development opportunities throughout the year.
Advocacy & Awareness
The Advocacy & Awareness Action Team promotes out-of-school-time programming across the state of Colorado and liftsup the successes of Colorado program providers, in order to increase access to high-quality programming, and to spark interest in and opportunities for sustainable funding, policy changes, and ongoing stakeholder engagement. The Advocacy & Awareness Action Team works with Colorado Afterschool Partnership (CAP) Staff and the Youth Advocacy Team to plan advocacy and events including Lights on Afterschool, Afterschool Professional Awareness Week, and National Summer Learning Week and helps build capacity to effectively advocate for OST policy and funding.
Events
The purpose of the Events Action Team is to support the Communications & Events Manager in planning the logistics of the CAP Events throughout the year. The goal of the events is to expand awareness of CAP as well as provide much needed professional development opportunities throughout the state.
