Arvian Harper
Board Member
Arvian Harper is an education professional with over 15 years of experience, primarily in Denver Public Schools. Currently, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Sims-Fayola Foundation, where she oversees all operational and administrative functions, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization. The foundation aims to address the unique educational and social needs of young men of color, and under Arvian’s leadership, it has expanded its impact through programs designed to close achievement gaps, promote leadership skills, and support the holistic development of the young men.
As an educational consultant, Arvian empowers school administrators, non-profit leaders, educators, and parents to unify their actions to foster self-actualization for every child. Her educational background is in Early Childhood Education and Literacy, and she holds certifications as a yoga instructor and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) leader. Her work is deeply rooted in principles of equity, striving to nurture both educators and students through a holistic approach.
As a servant leader and change agent, Arvian consistently challenges established systems to innovate solutions that benefit the entire educational landscape.
